About Sara

Sara’s Mission
Access to high-quality legal representation should never depend on a person’s resources, background, or geographic location. I approach every case with my clients’ goals at the forefront, letting their priorities guide each decision along the way. I believe meaningful change can—and should—follow tragedy, and I work tirelessly to hold wrongdoers accountable and to help create safer practices and a better future for others.

Sara brings nearly a decade of experience litigating high-stakes matters in state and federal courts. Before joining Cooper Elliott, she practiced at one of Columbus’s largest law firms where she spent years defending corporations and institutions in wrongful death, catastrophic injury, product liability, and other civil cases. That background gives her valuable insight into how defendants evaluate risk and develop strategy—knowledge she now uses to anticipate defenses and advocate more effectively for plaintiffs. Sara’s work has earned recognition from leading legal publications including Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Stars® and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch®

Originally from Celina, Ohio, Sara was shaped by a close-knit community where trust, accountability, and service matter. Growing up watching her father practice law in a small town instilled in her a belief that access to high-quality legal representation should not depend on geography or resources. At Cooper Elliott, she is proud to help ensure that individuals and families across Ohio—including those in rural and underserved communities—have access to the firm’s experience and commitment to justice.

Sara earned her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Capital University Law School, where she graduated in the top five of her class. She is actively involved in professional organizations and mentorship, reflecting her belief in thoughtful leadership and continued growth within the legal profession. Outside of the office, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, snowboarding, waterskiing, and traveling.

At Cooper Elliott, Sara is committed to guiding clients with clarity, compassion, and determination — and to standing up for accountability when it matters most.
